Feathery Bird Friends

We are investigating birds and feathers at school this week.

We are learning about the sound F the Flamingo makes.  It would be a great time to visit the Flamingo Wildlife  Habitat at the Flamingo Hotel downtown.  It is open 24 hours a day, but they have presentations at 8:30am and 11am daily.  Best of all, it's FREE!  I have taken my children there to see the flamingos twice in the past year because they love it so much!

Preschoolers have a few minutes to look at books independently.
Mimi is practicing writing letters on a chalkboard.
Puzzles are available at one of our centers this week.
Puzzles have many educational benefits.  To learn more about the benefits and how to teach puzzle skills to children, click here.
We are also learning about numerals 1 to 5.  We are counting groups of objects, and even practicing writing the numerals.  In this picture, Mac and Carson are writing the numerals with finger paint.  Give it a try at home!
