K is for Kangaroo

This week we've learned about the letter K, Kangaroo, Kicking, and knowledge about our bodies.  Here's a peek at our week...

The kids are kicking as they make the sound of letter K.

We had a visit from "Dr. Liz" who taught us more about our bodies.

  Our mouths can taste chocolate chips.  

Our noses can smell oranges.

Our eyes can see colors and shapes through a kaleidoscope.

Our ears can hear sounds.

We traced and colored our bodies!

 We played doctor during a center.

We used stickers to make the letter K.

 We made designs and patterns with giant pattern blocks.

 

 We made snack bodies with crackers and carrot sticks.

We talked about positional words (above, under, between) as we placed parts on a face.

We used positional words (in, on, under, beside) when describing the position between a bean bag and holiday box.

We sang Head Shoulders Knees and Toes.

 We worked in small groups to highlight the letter K in our Kangaroo Poem.

 We concluded our letter K week with kicking practice at the park!
