Earth Day

Monday, April 22nd is Earth Day!  We got an early start by learning about the holiday this week.
Preschoolers helped Miss Brieann make a web about the earth, and listened to stories about taking care of the Earth.

Sophia brought some beautiful flowers for show-and-tell.

 Ian brought a potted plant.

Abby showed us pictures of her garden!

Madison was able to sort earths from smallest to largest.

Emily placed pom poms on our magnetic earth.

Porter did some Earth Day puzzles.

Ian, Brendan, and Gavin put numbered earths in order.

Preschoolers learned about recycling.  They sorted objects into bins for plastics, paper, and metal.  Here they recycled by making a craft from used food cans.

Preschoolers cut images from magazines and sorted them by color below.

Brendan, Anniston, and Sophia played alphabet bingo.

Abby highlighted "ug" words in this text.

Brendan practiced his first and last name.

Solia and Ava used play dough to make letters of the alphabet.

The preschoolers are learning a fun new song!

Today we also had the privilege of celebrating Chloe's birthday with her.  Happy Birthday!

See you next week for "Weather" and Letter W.  Don't forget to join us for your child's Parent Teacher Conference on Wednesday, April 24th!
