Fun with the Letter A

We have had fun this week learning about the letter A. We learned that A the Alligator says, "a, a, a," and we did several activities with apples.
We made colorful apple prints by dipping half of an apple in paint and stamping it on paper.

We sampled 3 different kinds of apples...
...Red Delicious, Granny Smith, and Gala.

Then we made a graph to show what kind of apples we liked the best.
Here are the results.  We have also been working on counting this week.  Ask your preschooler to count how many circles there are of each color.  Which has the most?

Next week we will be learning about the letter B.  Our theme is "bears," and our math focus will be on shapes.  Please have your preschooler bring a stuffed bear to school on Tuesday.  Preferably one that will fit in their backpack.  See you next week!
