We had fun celebrating Valentine's Day at preschool!
We identified letters on heart magnets. Each student took a turn matching a picture to the letter it begins with.
We also reviewed our alphabet by playing "Stop in the name of Love." We tossed balloons in the air. When the music stopped, Miss Liz chose someone to pop their balloon and find the letter inside. Each student stated the letter, sound it makes, and a word that begins with the sound.
Brendan traced letters at this center.
Gavin matched upper and lowercase letters.
Porter, Madison, and Emily decorated their Valentine bags with stickers.
Sophia and Chloe explored large pattern blocks.
Madison sorted conversation hearts by color.
Emily matched numerals to their corresponding number of hearts.
Abby, Ava, and Anniston made Valentine heart leis.
We also practiced heart lacing, heard some Valentine stories, played Bingo, and of course passed out Valentine cards. Remember, school will not be held next Tuesday. Miss Liz will be out of town next Thursday, so Miss Brieann will have her husband helping her at school. Enjoy the rest of your Valentine's Day!
