Preschoolers enjoyed exploring their 5 senses this week!
Madison was able to identify peanut butter using only her sense of smell.
Chloe tasted a pickle while blindfolded.
We also studied the letter Y this week. Ian placed pattern block shapes along a capital and lowercase Y.
Brendan made crayon rubbings of Y and words that begin with y.
Porter matched shades of yellow.
Solia circled "ub" words in the story, Monkey Hub-Bub.
Gavin matched numbers with the correct puzzle piece.
Porter, Chloe, and Sophia played with connecting cubes and wooden blocks.
Ava worked on placing numbers on a Hundreds Chart.
The preschoolers worked with yarn and glued pieces along numbers.
We also sorted different objects and counted with them.
Solia brought yogurt of show-and-tell, and shared it with us at snack time.
Anniston brought some sea shells and described to us how each felt.
Miss Liz read a story called Ten Flashing Fireflies. While she read, we placed "fireflies" in a jar. We counted them as more were added.
We played a number stamping game. We rolled dice, counted the dots, and stamped that number on our paper. The preschoolers enjoyed this so much, we'll continue it next week!
