Giggles with Mother Goose

 G the goose giggles /g/ /g/ /g/.

 The children joined in while Miss Liz read some Mother Goose rhymes (Humpty Dumpty, Jack and Jill, Little Miss Muffet. Itsy Bitsy Spider, Little Boy Blue, etc.)  They also joined in by singing a nursery rhyme song that emphasized rhyming words.

 Abby and Brendan used puppets at our puppet theater to act out "Little Miss Muffet."

 

 Anniston helped us review letter sounds with a song. 

 Brendan and Gavin put magnets on this "G is for gumballs" work mat.

 Ian matched letters to their corresponding picture on the pocket chart.

 We changed the beginning sound in words to make rhymes.

 Above, Sophia rolled a numeral die to graph what number it landed on.

 Emily manipulated pattern blocks to make the letter G!

 Ava wrote the letters to the sounds the teacher said.

 We learned the nursery rhyme, Old Mother Hubbard, and counted how many bones she had in her cupboard.

 Preschoolers painted gold glitter glue on the letter G with a Q-tip.

 Ava brought Gothel, a character from Tangled for show-and-tell.

 Gavin wore his Goggles.

 Brendan was especially excited to show us his pet gecko.  All the other children enjoyed seeing it too!

 Happy Birthday to Porter!  We hope you have a fun day on Saturday.  Thanks for the treats today!

 Miss Liz read, Glad Monster, Sad Monster.  We are learning about feelings.

 Ava helped us learn about feeling worried.  She tried on the orange monster's mask.

 We practiced making sad and glad faces.  We also made puppets and talked about when we feel glad and sad.

 We played blending bingo.  The teacher said the sounds of the word such as /c/ /a/ /t/, and the students had to blend it and say /cat/ before covering the picture on their board.

We also worked together to make gooey, green gak!
