This week we're learning about the sound D makes. We heard a song about D the Dinosaur and stomped our feet while we made the /d/ /d/ /d/ sound.
We wrote capital and lowercase D's on chalkboards.
Anniston put on her paleontologist hat and described this long-necked dinosaur to the class!
Solia, Ava, and Abby sorted dinosaurs by color, and counted how many we had in each group.
Chloe explored our flannel board dinosaurs during centers.
The children were introduced to the "am" word family. Our new story for the month was sent home today.
Porter enjoyed our magnetic letter board.
Emily liked punching dots at this center.
Ian, Brendan, and Gavin worked together with dinosaurs at the free play center.
We even had a few minutes to dance like D the dinosaur, and use tambourines and ribbon wands.
Ian pretended to be a plant-eating and meat-eating dinosaur by eating broccoli and dino shaped chicken nuggets.
The children heard this book, Ten Terrible Dinosaurs, and used stickers to illustrate the story.
We'll continue our dinosaur dig on Thursday!
