Winter

We welcomed in the new year with snowflakes at preschool!

Madison brought her snow coat for show-and-tell.

Emily showed a winter shirt with warmly dressed girls on the front.

Gavin wore a hand-crocheted winter hat!

Miss Liz read a book about Snow.  Then we wrote down our ideas about winter.  We also put cards in order to tell the correct sequence of building a snowman.

We even pretended to put on winter clothes, and play in the snow!

After hearing Snowmen at Night, preschoolers wrote about what they would do if they were snowmen.

During centers, preschoolers built with blocks.

 Ian did number puzzles.

 Gavin traced numbers and snowballs.

Porter, Chloe, and Emily identified -it words in text and wrote them.

Preschoolers placed the correct number of buttons on snowman cards.

Brendan, Ian, and Gavin practiced identifying beginning sounds in pictures.

Today, Sophia enjoyed a snowflake shaped baked cinnamon tortilla.

The kids enjoyed playing with "snow."

We also made snowflakes with pattern blocks.

See you next week!
