A the Alligator

 We began learning the letters of the alphabet this week.

Each letter has an animal character and story to go with it.  A the Alligator is angry that ants took his apple and shakes his fists in the air while saying "a-a-a". 

Atalya made fingerprint ants marching up to A the Alligator's apple.

Dahlin worked on the pattern block A puzzle. 

Trevin sorted airplanes by color. 

To introduce counting, we read the book "Ten Apples On Top" about animals who balance apples on their head. 

Logan sorted apple jacks and then stacked them one on top of  another just like the book. 

We got all dressed for an alligator hunt.  Can you see Gavin showing his muscles all ready to tackle those gators?

Faye found one!

Dahlin was glad these were just pretend alligators.  

After we captured the alligators, they enjoyed a dip in the sensory tables filled with water and pebbles. 

We celebrated Luke's birthday with a song and yummy cookies.  Happy Birthday Luke!

Corbett brought a magazine with an angry bird on the cover.  He showed us the letter A. 

Luke brought alphabet cookies for show and tell. 

Faye showed a toy Ariel doll. 

We had lots of fun this week with the letter A.  Can you guess what we did with these?

Preschool homework with be a half sheet filled with letters for each student to trace with the help of parent.  Please focus on correct pencil grip.

Next week we will be learning about the letter B.  On Monday please send your preschooler with a teddy bear that fits in their backpack.  Thank you.
