The students tested their memories today as Miss Liz introduced 3 objects, then covered them up with a cloth and removed one. Most of us could identify which object was missing.
We also learned how each letter has a name and sound. When you say the sound of each letter in order you can read a word. Sophia helped us read the word "hat."
Chloe brought this fun light-up Halloween jack-o-lantern for show and tell.
Gavin showed his football.
Brendan showed some Halloween decorations and bones. He also brought a fun Halloween goodie bag for each child. Thanks for sharing!
During centers, these children (above and below) measured the length of ribbons with cubes and put them next to the corresponding number. We identified which was the longest and shortest.
Ava is painting a salt dough leaf print we made on Tuesday. Watch for them to come home next week!
Emily sorted these beans by size (small, medium, and large.)
Porter and Chloe stayed busy with these fall push pin pages.
Ian and Gavin enjoyed building.
Brendan chose to play with cars and trucks .
Finally, we spent a few minutes exploring in our sensory tables. Today they contained beans, buttons, blocks, and alphabet letters... items that begin with A and B.
We'll be back next week to learn about the cycle of a butterfly, and day and night. Enjoy your weekend!
